it's a shame that i did so many wrongs and was so limited on educating my kids. i am sorry. but then again if i had a chance to do it over, would i be any different? i wonder. i was too young to know.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
—2 Timothy 1

so may be we are solemn, but we should not have fear. our future is not in our hands. be still and knowing He is God. things happen always come with a reason. sometimes we may not know that reason for a while. keep it simple and slow down and keep breathing. life sometimes goes back to basics.

this was what i saw on my way home today, i just had to stop and take some pictures. there were 2 ducky families taking a walk in our neighborhood. 1 family has 4 dockies, the other one has 6 duckies. how would they know who belongs to whom? amazing!

The San Francisco adventure

it rained the whole time except saturday. we were all wet from knee down, only the tough ladies went on shopping like no others.

so we were on our way from OKC to SF through Denver. beside delaying for 2 hours in denver airport, the flights were almost perfect. karin was so efficient, not only she got to herts counter without waiting on the long line (she is a premier member), she also got us a brand new highlander with only 5 miles on it. we giggled so badly, almost could not find our way out from the airport. one thing you have to know about karin, over-preparing is her standard performance. so of course we will not leave home without gps, not 1 but 2. we drove all around sf with no hesitation under pouring rain. since we prepaid for gas, we just had to use up the whole tank before we leaving sf.  imagine 5 middle aged ladies driving around sf without knowing what or where to go, among all the ups and downs and one-way-onlys, so we did circle around many many times before we finding union square, japanese town, etc. even when we walked to find the japanese restaurant that people directed us to go for lunch, we circled. the town would be boring that weekend without us crazy ladies touring around. we laughed at ourselves so hard, it made all the sweats well accounted for. in the rain we went through golden gate bridge, lombard street... even driving 2 time through sixth street on to town at late night just to see the amazing views from high down to low.

now we know, the golden gate bridge is not gold in color. and the lombard does not have flowers in winter and its one way only, down.

meeting betsy and andrew for dinner in hong kong mayflower lounge was one unforgetable experience. since from our hotel to the lounge would only take 20 minutes, we thought leaving 40 minutes earlier would be good enough, of course that was using our okie sense of distance. little did we know, right after we left our hotel, we would stick on the street for 40 minutes before we could inch on further streets. they had to wait for us being late for 40 minutes. sorry kids. we didnt mean to be rude.

i stayed with andrew one night in palo alto. i fell in love with the town right away. its a small town atmosphere with all the wonderful stores. a super nice place. i will be back to visit for sure.

we went to stanford shopping center and a place (dont remember the name) 20 minutes away with all taiwan and hong kong stores. we ate and visited every stores, and loaded with food, chinese medicines, chinese books and made connections to be able to order more in case we love what we bought. we were totally satisfied. of course our luggages were overweighted, good thing we were first class customers (another thing that magic karin done for us), they let us pass without fussing.

here are some pictures you may see how we conquered on.

so we went to see the last of this year's fall leaves in Broken
Bow. beautiful, beautiful area. deers running, fish flying and little flowers blooming. the air was so clean, we finally slow down and rest enough to relax from our long trip to China and Taiwan. now we know home is the only place you can relax and enjoy. here are some of the pictures.DSC01554 DSC01558 DSC01563 DSC01548

Wesley and Joshua felt asleep right after the concert started about 5 minute. they slept so tight, they missed the whole program. this picture is so cute, it deserves a xanga entry.
